
David Whiteside is a past member of the National Care Planning Council, the Southern Utah Estate Planning Council, and was the founding Director of the Southern Utah Care Planning Council. David has offered financial advice and services since 1991. He has received the Insurance Consultant License (#2613520) from the State of Utah due to his wide industry knowledge. This license recognizes David as a consulting resource, not just a salesperson.

David has worked in financial services, insurance, banking, and mortgage finance. His practice covers Utah, California and Texas, where he is well known for his unique, low-key, consultative approach.
As the Director of the Southern Utah Care Planning Council, David offered classes in ethics, long term care, and retirement planning for Utah insurance and financial professionals. The classes emphasized the ETHICAL implementation of financial strategies, including LTC insurance and fixed annuities. David also coordinated the Council’s Internet Referral program in Southern Utah, helping consumers locate legal & financial resources as well as facility and home care providers.
David was the first Los Angeles County broker to achieve the prestigious Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC) designation when it was originally offered in 1999, by the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification. He was also one of the first ten recipients of the Long Term Care Professional (LTCP) designation, conferred by the Health Insurance Association of America. These designations represent extensive multidisciplinary training that includes estate planning, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, product suitability, and alternatives to traditional insurance products. David pioneered the use of the new generation of “Life Care” Annuities (Long Term Care Annuities) in Southern Utah & California.
